Kymera Celebrates Excellence in Rheumatology!

We are beyond proud to announce that Dr. Weilg, has earned the prestigious RhMSUS Certification in musculoskeletal ultrasound from the American College of Rheumatology!
This certification is not just a milestone; it represents an elite standard in rheumatology care. Musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) has transformed the field with its ability to deliver faster and more accurate diagnoses, optimize treatment plans, and improve precision in procedures. This certification is a testament to Dr. Weilg’s commitment to bringing cutting-edge, patient-centered care to our Kymera Patients.
What makes this achievement even more special? The RhMSUS Certification reflects advanced expertise and rigorous training in this highly impactful technology, underscoring Dr. Weilg’s commitment to bringing superior healthcare to Southeastern New Mexico.

Dr. Pablo Weilg pursued a fellowship in Rheumatology at the Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA.  Prior to that, he completed the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mercy One North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa. Dr. Weilg has experience as a Research Physician and has collaborated as a Thesis Advisor on many publications.

Dr. Weilg has invaluable knowledge and experience in treating a wide range of rheumatic conditions, including all types of arthritis and other complex inflammatory conditions.

Other accomplishments include:

  • During his fellowship, Dr. Weilg spent two years studying the role of Fli1 in transendothelial migration of monocytes in patients with Systemic Sclerosis.
  • Dr. Weilg received certification from the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists (USSONAR) and most recently he has accepted a position as a USSONAR instructor to contribute to the education of future rheumatologists.
  • Principal Investigator for the project “Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Assessment of Periosteal Disease in Patients with Psoriatic Arthritis.”
  • His own publication, “Periosteal Manifestations of Osteomyelitis and Arthritis on Ultrasound” was recently accepted in the Journal of Medical Ultrasound.

Dr. Pablo Weilg is fluent in both English and Spanish.  Dr. Weilg provides compassionate and patient oriented Rheumatology care to patients of Southeastern New Mexico.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Weilg enjoys target archery and playing the saxophone.

Dr. Pablo Weilg serves the Southeastern New Mexico communities from the Roswell and Carlsbad Clinics.
