Dr. Cardenas joins the Infectious Disease Team!
Dr. Diana Cardenas is an Infectious Disease specialist proudly serving the Southeastern New Mexico communities from the Multi-Disciplinary Roswell Clinic. Originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, she began her medical training in 2009 at the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. Subsequently, she completed a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Cardenas is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Her clinical interests include HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), hepatitis C, and prosthetic joint infections. She has made significant contributions to the field through numerous medical publications and abstracts in both internal medicine and infectious diseases.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Cardenas is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based care.
