Gretchen Olds has joined the Kymera family.
Gretchen Olds is excited to share her expertise in Endocrinology. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in Chemistry and from Medical College of Georgia of Augusta University with a BS in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude, in June 1995. Ms. Olds spent her nursing career in the ICU as charge nurse.
As a graduate student at Brenau University, she received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner specialty, graduated Suma Cum Laude and Valedictorian of her 2005 class. Ms. Olds also is double inductee in Nursing Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau.
Ms. Olds interned for a year in Endocrinology after her Family Practice required hours. She went straight into private endocrinology practice as a graduate CRNP. Volunteered at an indigent care clinic and assisted in setting up the clinical diabetic clinic at HOPE Clinic 2008-2010 and again in rural Washington, GA through MedLink in 2011 while working in a hospital setting. Ms. Olds spent the better part of her 16 years as a CRNP studying, practicing and policy writing for diabetes and related disorders.
Gretchen Olds is pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice beginning in September 2022. She has been published academically and featured presenter at the Southern Gerontological Summit 2005 for her original research on Hormone Replacement Therapy.
Her main focus is total diabetes care, thyroid disorders, male and female hormone replacement and health prevention and promotion through education.
In her free time, Ms. Olds enjoys traveling, swimming, family, artistic endeavors and adventures.
